Scream Queen Filmfest Tokyo (SQFFT) is a film festival dedicated to showcase and promote emerging and established female genre filmmakers. Launched in 2013 and held annually in Tokyo with tour screenings around Japan throughout the year, SQFFT is passionate about sharing unique and diverse visions that female artists bring to the genre. We are celebrating its 4th year and we continue to support and celebrate the art and cinematic contribution of women genre filmmakers from around the world. The 2016 edition will be held at Uplink, the famous art-house movie theatre in Tokyo (CNN listed Uplink in their “10 of the world's most enjoyable movie theatres”). And immediately after our Tokyo event, the festival will have its very first tour out of Japan and heads to Southeast Asia! We’ll be showcasing the programme from Tokyo screening as well as films selected for the tour. Do you have films that you want to share with the enthusiastic genre film fans in Asia?
