International Strasburg Film Festival

The Strasburg International Film Festival (SIFF) exhibits an incredible variety of independent films that enrich and expand upon viewers’ traditional notions of cinema. We aim to promote careers within the industry and invoke a lifelong passion for film while raising funds for theatre within public education. SIFF is about giving independent filmmakers a louder voice, a wider audience, and the platform to showcase largely untold stories. Beyond film as an entertainment medium, we utilize storytelling as a tool to inspire, educate, and strengthen communities within the Shenandoah Valley and beyond. Your work will make a difference for our local future artists. Because of that, we thank you. Organized by the Shenandoah Film Collaborative, a 501 (3) c non-profit organization SIFF is an all-volunteer organization, and any funds that are donated or raised are given back into programming or to our charity of focus, which is explained further down. We decided to use the word “Collaborative” in our organization name because it embodies what we aim to achieve: For us to become successful, we need multiple parties to work together for producing an excellent product. Our organization serves anywhere in the Shenandoah Valley as well as other national charities when appropriate. We have a few areas of focus: 1. Create a global community for the Film Arts. 2. Offer opportunities to Shenandoah Valley residents to experience the wonders of film beyond Hollywood. This means to us: 1. Increase economic development for businesses 2. Raise funds for non-profits or civic organizations 3. Enhance educational curriculum for entities that have expressed an academic interest in filmmaking 3. Raise funds and awareness for the Shenandoah County Public School System theater/drama-related programming.
