The BE Festival Short Film Showcase

The B.E. (Black Excellence) Film Festival and Short Film Showcase is a subsidiary of and produced by Brooklyn Media Publishing LLC. The Black Excellence (B.E.) Festival will be held June 18-19, 2021 at the legendary Showboat Hotel and Convention Center located on the historic Atlantic City Boardwalk in celebration of the first year Juneteenth is recognized as an official holiday in the State of New Jersey. It is a combination of the successful Women of Color and Men of Color Expo; each including a taste of Brooklyn Media’s other mainstream events R&B Live and Get Fit Charlotte. The B.E. Short Film Showcase is one of the first Black Cultural film experiences in the Atlantic City, NJ area. This event discovers, supports and develops new talent in filmmaking, providing a platform for emerging and established filmmakers from around the world. Recognizing the important role of Black Excellence and independent films have in the history of filmmaking, storytelling, and culture, BESFS wants to help empower the next generation. It is our aspiration to provided a brief glimpse of the production talent pool during The Showcase in order to add the importance of film work to the body of the Festival Weekend. With an expected attendance of over 10K attendees at this historic event; having your project showcased during the festival is an outstanding accomplishment. There is a wealthy itinerary of " Keynote Speakers; Master Classes and Awards during this historic two-day music and film festival.
