The Cannabis Film Festival

On the behalf of the 3rd Annual Cannabis Film Festival, I invite you to join us at the historic Roxie Theatre in heart of thriving Mission District of San Francisco on April 26-27, 2017 for our SF premiere. The Cannabis Film Festival’s goal is to screen contemporary documentaries, short films and features dealing with the changing landscape and rising acceptance of cannabis and hemp in our society. By offering a variety of films, we can better accommodate the filmgoers’ tastes with a bevy of topics interpreted by our artists’ visions. The Cannabis Film Festival (TCFF) is celebrating its third consecutive year of bringing together filmmakers, producers, actors, documentary artists, entrepreneurs, vendors, sponsors, and our community to a single forum honoring cinematic excellence in presenting the freshest films highlighting the growth of cannabis and hemp today. The TCFF presents films from new and established international and domestic filmmakers honoring the heroic stories such as the parents who fight for medication for their children and the worldwide struggle for freedom and liberty of the plant. Last year’s festival screened feature films that incorporate cannabis not as its primary focus, but as incidental part of the drama or comedy’s storyline creating a bigger picture than your average “stoner’ movie. Our films display the courage and selflessness of the men and women who may risk everything for what they believe in. The Cannabis Film Festival is open to filmmakers of every experience level, from first-timers to veteran directors and producers. For the last two year, the festival has screened over 25 features, documentaries and shorts in Garberville, California. Audiences have had the opportunity to view films and then join in discussions with the filmmakers furthering the interchange of what the future cannabis landscape may appear according to our artists and community.
