Our new date for our postponed festival will be: August 21-23 & 26-30 Let’s all head to the Drive-in Westfield Fashion Square (top level) 14006 Riverside Drive Sherman Oaks, CA 91423 All films, originally accepted for the postponed festival date, will be played based on the original schedule and subject to their availability to play. All existing purchased tickets will be accepted for the new screening dates. Premiere status, screening times and locations, may be subject to change. These new dates are also subject to change based on the current and future situation with COVID-19. The safety of our audience and filmmakers is our main concern, and any future changes to our festival dates will be based on that concern. DATE: 3/12/20 A message to FILMMAKERS, and our METHOD FEST FRIENDS, and our AUDIENCE: It is with great sadness that I convey this news to you, but unfortunately due to the seriousness of the COVID-19 situation, the 14th The Method Fest Independent Film Festival has decided to postpone the festival. The city of Beverly Hills and the State of California new advisory strongly discourages any public gathering of over 50 people for health and safety reasons, therefore, we don't see how it would be possible to have the festival at this time period. We have never been faced with such a severe situation, but we are taking this matter seriously and our top priority is 100% based on the safety of all filmmakers, actors, directors, and the public. We are looking into a Spring date and will be selecting a date once it is deemed safe from public health officials to proceed with our event. As soon as we have further information we will contact you immediately. All tickets purchased will be honored for our festival once a date is determined. We thank you for your understanding and we plan to screen all films originally scheduled at The Method Fest when the festival is rescheduled. Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Discovering the most talented new filmmakers and actors and assisting the filmmakers in getting the films out into the marketplace are the goals of The Method Fest. The Method Fest features American and international feature films and short films. The festival is named after "The Method" school of acting, which brought truth and realism to the world of acting. Many of today's top actors trace their lineage back to great Method Actors such as John Garfield, Geraldine Page, Robert DeNiro, Meryl Streep, and Dustin Hoffman. The Method Fest takes great pride in being a Discovery festival, looking to help launch the works of young fresh filmmakers and to discover breakthrough performances by bold new actors. The festival has also taken great delight in sharing career-defining performances of established performers and in showcasing a few chosen well-known directors to screen at the festival.
