Based in Canterbury, England, it draws on the area’s connection with Smallfilms, the studio behind Bagpuss and The Clangers. Its history begins in 2007 with Canterbury City Council; Canterbury Christ Church University is its organiser, with ownership dating from 2016. The programme explores animation through screenings and contributions from studio practitioners, including guests associated with Aardman, LAIKA and Pixar.
