The festival dates back to 1994 and is organised by the Etiuda&Anima Foundation. ETIUDA presents live-action and documentary etudes and graduation films from film and art schools; ANIMA brings together professional, independent and student animation. The biennial ANIMA.PL competition focuses on Polish animated shorts. The competitions award Dinosaur, Jabberwocky and Żmij statuettes, while a Special Golden Dinosaur honours an outstanding teacher who remains an active artist. Retrospectives, animated features, exhibitions, workshops and masterclasses accompany the competitions. Creative Lab E&A offers industry meetings, works in progress and training, and Travelling Etiuda&Anima presents prizewinning films in Poland and abroad.
