Its programme combines screenings with discussions, filmmaker question-and-answer sessions, workshops and masterclasses. The tour is a project of Ambulante, the nonprofit organisation founded in 2005 by Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna and Elena Fortes, which works in places with limited access to documentary exhibition and training. The 21st edition runs from 5 March to 21 May 2026 under the theme Confabular. Its route covers Mexico City, Querétaro, Michoacán, Morelos and Baja California.
