The programme combines a Hungarian competition for films by Hungarian directors, an international competition of live-action and animated shorts and an international documentary competition, alongside non-competitive horror, queer, Weirdcore and Genre Fever! sections. Screenings centre on the Puskin Cinema, with open-air shows in the City Hall garden and sidebar screenings in other Hungarian cities. Founded in 2013 by festival director Dániel Deák and editor-in-chief Anita Libor, the festival also runs industry events, including the Friss Pitch short film pitching forum and the Fresh Meet Market talent platform.
