Investor and producer Marina Jigalova and producer Alexey Bokov founded it in 2018, when the first edition opened with screenings at the Patriarch’s Ponds. Since 2022 it has worked as an international online festival with its own online cinema hall. The 2022 programme is devoted to Russian experimental and debut cinema, with Alexei German Jr. on the jury. The last edition took place online on 1–30 July 2023. It has international competitions of short and feature films, with juries chaired by Ali Khamraev and Pavel Lungin, and an out-of-competition programme of Russian short films.
