Jonathan Duffy

Jonathan Duffy is an award-winning creative producer. He is an Independent Spirit Award winner and a recipient of the 2019 Film Independent Camera Grant, as well as a nominee for the 2019 Producers award. Based in Oakland California, Jonathan is a co-founder of Ten Acre Films along with long-time producing partner Kelly Williams. His most recent completed projects include: I Used To Go Here (SXSW 2020 Official Selection) starring Gillian Jacobs and Jemaine Clement, No Future (Tribeca 2020 Official Selection) staring Catherine Keener, Charlie Heaton, Rosa Salazar, Jackie Earle Haley as well as the short film Rules For Werewolves (SXSW 2020 Official Selection) starring Finn Wolfhard. Jonathan is presently in post production on Mark, Mary & Some Other People staring Ben Rosenfield, Haley Law, Sofia Bryant, Odessa A'zion, featuring Gillian Jacobs and Joe Lo Truglio and Stranger With A Camera (feature debut of Belfast-born filmmaker Oorlagh George) starring Owen McDonnell and Ellie Bamber. In addition to these projects, Jonathan is in various stages of writing, packaging, and pre-production on numerous projects. Jonathan's past feature film work includes: Light From Light (Sundance 2019), The Sound Of Silence (Sundance 2019), Before You Know It (Sundance 2019), BUoYancy (Berlinale 2019), Sorry To Bother You (Sundance 2018), The Long Dumb Road (Sundance 2018), A Bad Idea Gone Wrong (SXSW 2017), Discreet (Berlin 2017), 6 Years (SXSW 2015), Beaver Trilogy Part IV (Sundance 2015), Hellion (Sundance 2014), Pit Stop (Sundance 2013). His short form work includes: Skip Day (Cannes 2018), Don't Be A Hero (Sundance 2018), The Suplex Duplex Complex (SXSW 2017) and The Send-Off (Sundance 2016). In 2020 and 2019 Jonathan was a mentor for the Stowe Story Lab. In the 2018 Rotterdam Producing Lab fellow, the 2016 Cannes Producers Network fellow, 2016 Film Independent Fast Track Program Fellow, 2015 Sundance Producing Summit and Catalyst Program Fellow as well as SFFILM's inaugural Producers Fellowship and participant in the Artist 2 Entrepreneur program hosted by SFFILM. Jonathan Graduated from the film program at The University of Texas at Austin.
