Kate Drummond

Kate is a multi-award winning Canadian actress with an extensive list of credits in film, television and video games. She also is a highly sought after voice actor, and recently completed the narration of a new documentary series, History by the Numbers, being aired on Curiosity Stream and the Smithsonian Channel.

She is widely known for her role in the People’s Choice Award winning show, Wynonna Earp, streaming on Netflix internationally. She also stars in the SYFY cross-genre HULU/CBC Gem Original series, Utopia Falls. and has guest starred on shows such as Ghostwriter, Saving Hope, Dark Matter, Good Witch and Heartland.

Kate won the 2020 Canadian Screen Award for her lead role in the award-winning feature film Nowhere to be Found/Secrets in a Small Town. More recently, Kate stars alongside Isabelle Fuhrman in the independent feature, The Novice, which was released in theatres and VOD in December 2021. She also joins the all-star cast of Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson and Kaley Cuoco in The action-comedy The Man From Toronto set to release in August 2022.

She has also starred alongside the likes of Brooke Shields, Billy Baldwin, Beau Bridges and Matthew Modine in various features.

No stranger to video games, Kate played lead female Anna Grimsdottir in Splinter Cell Blacklist, Dr. Kandel in The Division and multiple other characters in games like the Assassin’s Creed, Ghost Recon and many more.

As a former elementary school teacher who became an actor later in life, Kate is an advocate for people following their dreams no matter where they are in life. Her TEDx Talk, Chasing Dreams and Beginning Again, has garnered over half a million views has connected her globally with many people who are also on their path to reaching their goals.

Kate’s other credits include Oscar-nominated film ROOM (ELEMENT PICTURES), TRAPPED: THE ALEX COOPER STORY (LIFETIME), LEAD WITH YOUR HEART (HALLMARK), GOOD WITCH (HALLMARK), THE INFORMANT (WARNER BROS.), BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (CW), BEING HUMAN (SYFY), COVERT AFFAIRS (USA), SAVING HOPE (CTV/HULU), DARK MATTER (SYFY) and HEARTLAND (CBC).

In addition to acting, Kate made her writing and directorial debut with her feature GO FISH. The film had its theatrical release in September 2016 and won Best Feature in the Muskoka Film Festival (2017) and Forest City Film Festival (2017). GO FISH is currently being streamed on Amazon Prime in Canada, USA and the UK.

Outside of acting, Kate’s other passion lies in her philanthropy work where she supports causes close to her heart including The Canadian Horse Defense Coalition, The Snoopi Project, Playa Animal Rescue, DIBS (Dogs in Better Spots), KidSport Ontario and Bytowne Association for Rescued Kanines (BARK). In 2019, Kate teamed up with The Children’s Miracle Network and SickKids Foundation, raising over $10,000 in just over a week, through her social media platforms. She has also partnered with Gamers for Sandy Hook, a charity that raised money for the PTA of Sandy Hook Elementary School and organized Toronto’s first Street Store, which clothed over 300 homeless and under-resourced members of the community
