Bio
Marcos Sánchez is a chilean visual artist, animator and filmmaker. He currently lives and works in Santiago, Chile.
He studied Fine Arts at Universidad Católica, in Santiago and Film at NYU’s MFA program in New York.
He has exhibited his work in Chile, Argentina and the United States.
His short films and animated music videos have been selected in film festivals such as the Sitges Fantasy Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, Sapporo Short Film Festival, Tokyo Media Arts Festival, Denver Film Festival, Austin music Video Festival, Encounters Short Film festival among many others.
He was awarded a Bronze Cube at the ADC Awards 2021 in NYC and an Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival 2021 for his music video Grey to Green, for South Korean singer Lydia Lee.
