Martin Eriksson (Swed. Martin Eriksson), known under the pseudonym E-Type (born August 27, 1965, Uppsala, Sweden) is a Swedish singer and musician working in the Eurodance style.
Martin Ericsson began his musical career early. He was first the drummer in a rock band called Maninnya Blade, which disbanded in 1988 (was re-formed in 2004 with a new line-up). Several former members form the new metal band Hexenhaus. In the early 1990s, Martin began experimenting with a drum machine to create music. In 1991, he met Johan Renk, better known by his stage name Stakka Bo, and became even more interested in dance music. Together they released several singles under the moniker "E-Type & Stakka Bo". Around the same time, he was working as a VJ for ZTV.
