Voltaj

Voltaj is a Romanian rock band, laureates of the "MTV Europe Music Awards 2005" in the nomination "Best Music Band in Romania". Representatives of Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. They took 15th place in the final. The group was formed in 1982 in Bucharest. Initially, the musicians played in the styles of hard rock, heavy metal and speed metal. At the time, many critics called Voltaj's music "dangerous" and trying to play metal during the communist period was "too bold". However, the first song they released, "Nori de hârtie", became a real hit, and by the nineties, the performers had become very popular in their country. Over the years, the band's musical style has changed constantly. To date, their compositions are often played on radio broadcasts, and now the band's discography has more than ten full-length albums.
