Eva Dominelli

Eva Dominelli (she/her) is an award-winning Illustrator, Animator and Visual Artist from Vancouver, BC, the unceded territories and traditional lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

She graduated in 2017 from Emily Carr University of Art + Design with a BFA in Illustration. Currently she works on editorial illustration, print design, personal watercolours, and animation. She has self-published several artist’s books, including her 2020 zine, Things Men Say to Me at Work, winner of Broken Pencil’s Art Zine of the Year. In 2022, Eva was nominated for Video Director of the Year by the Western Canadian Music Awards.

Eva’s gouache and watercolour paintings pull inspiration from her experiences, observations, dreams, and her love of vintage children’s picture books. Her work incorporates social commentary and depicts enigmatic narratives, constructed from her visual lexicon of personal myths and motifs.
