Harry Bardin was born in 1941 in Orenburg. He graduated from the V. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko School-studio at the Moscow Art Theater of the USSR. Gorky, worked as an actor in the theater. Gogol, starred in a movie.

In 1975, Harry Bardin began working as an animation director at the Soyuzmultfilm film studio, where he shot 15 films over 15 years, which were awarded numerous prizes. He is the winner of five Nika Awards, the Palme d'Or of the Cannes Film Festival and other awards.

Harry Bardin won recognition by using a variety of techniques and materials in his films: matches in "Conflict", ropes in "Marriage", wire in "Frills", origami in "Adagio". In addition, the author uses traditional dolls and plasticine for animation.
