Mike Shorten
Art Director, Concept Designer, Visual Development, Background & Layout Artist with extensive experience in the Film & Animation industry.
He headed up the Art Department on Lupus Films’ upcoming animated feature, Kensuke’s Kingdom (2024), adapted from the best-selling children’s novel by Michael Morpurgo.
Graduated in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Film & Animation Production from the Arts University Bournemouth.
Previous experience includes the Oscar-nominated animated feature The Illusionist (2010), Aardman & Sony Animation’s Arthur Christmas (2011) and most recently, Locksmith Animation’s upcoming That Christmas (2024), directed by Simon Otto and written by Richard Curtis.
