I was a quiet kid, I used to go to the corner and read my book, but my ear was always on the people around me. I liked listening to stories, most of all my grandmother's... One day my grandmother's story was left unfinished and I completed it. Since then, I've always been talking to myself, telling things. I didn't know that the best way to do this and share our stories was through the cinema. Cinema was not my childhood dream, but I knew that I could not be happy in an ordinary job. And then I met cinema, but more importantly, I met documentary cinema: I watched documentary films by such geniuses as Michael Moore, Agnes Varda, as well as many successful directors who are young, enthusiastic and really have a story to tell. I graduated from Izmir University of Economics cinema and digital media department in 2020. I have a short-length, experimental film called Daydreams; I have two documentary films called Smirna's Pit and There is the Smell of Mourning in Your Hair. But much more importantly, there are more stories I want to tell.
