Víctor Erice
Victor Erice (Spanish: Víctor Erice; born June 30, 1940, Carranza, Vizcaya, Basque Country) is a Spanish film director and film critic.
He studied law and political science, switched to cinema, and studied at the State Cinema School of Madrid. Published as a film critic, directed short films. In 1973, he directed his first independent film, “The Spirit of the Beehive,” which became a turning point for Spanish cinema and was highly praised by critics.
