Shirin Sohani

Born in 1986, Tehran, Iran. She got her M.A. in animation directing from Tehran University of Art. She started her professional career since 2012. Since then, she has worked as concept artist, storyboard artist and texture artist in some animated short films, TV series and commercials. In 2014, she made her first short animated film, THE FAN (2014), as her graduation film and has won some awards so far. Shirin and Hossein Molayemi have worked on their lastest project together, IN THE SHADOW OF CYPRESS (2023), which has been selected at the Orizzonti short competition at Venice FF 2023.
