David-Pierre Fila
The photographer and documentary filmmaker has a Diplôme d’études approfondies in anthropology. As a director, his work explores the territory between documentary and poetry. He has led seminars and film clubs on Black World Cinema and has been invited to sit on a number of film juries. His works include the award-winning documentary The Last Babingas, which was presented in the Perspectives du cinéma français section at Cannes. Tala Tala met with equal success, winning prizes at festivals including Visions du Réel and IDFA, and Best Documentary at the FESPACO Pan-African Film and Television Festival.
