Rachel Daisy Ellis

Rachel Ellis was born in the UK and migrated to Recife, Brazil in 2004 where she still lives and works. She has a Masters degree in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics and worked in International development until 2009. In 2010 she founded DESVIA. Rachel is a creative producer whose work focuses on all phases of production from script & project development through to post-production and distribution with a particular focuses on international co-production. The films she has produced have all been screened in competition at important festivals including IDFA, Venice, Locarno & Toronto, winning over 100 awards and critical acclaim. Rachel also co-wrote, with Gabriel Mascaro, AUGUST WINDS (2014) and Gabriel's upcoming film OVERGOD. her latest film EROS (2024) was selected at the CPH:DOX
