Olivia J. Middleton
Olivia J. Middleton is a UK based writer and director originally from Aberdeenshire, Scotland with a portfolio encompassing narrative films, commercials and music videos. Her work has screened at numerous revered festivals in the UK and internationally.
Her short film, Rosalyn, won the Best Scottish Short award at Edinburgh Short Film Festival 2020 and the Best Cork Short award at Cork Film Festival 2019. Olivia’s recent short film A90 was developed and funded with Short Circuit 2020 (Screen Scotland/BFI NETWORK) and has gone on to screen at BAFTA and Oscar Qualifying Film Festivals, it was listed by Directors Notes as one of “10 must-catch short films by promising filmmakers at Aesthetica short film festival 2022”.
Olivia has recently finished shadowing and 2nd unit directing on Amazon’s The Rig (season 2) under director John Strickland. She is currently in post-production for her latest short film Morning which is set to be completed this year and has long form projects in development.
