Vasilii Korepanov

Born and raised in Chelyabinsk. From the seventh grade he attended the Chelyabinsk Regional Film and Television School, took part in amateur films and performances as an actor, director and screenwriter. In 2020 he graduated from the Faculty of Screen Arts, Department of Directing, majoring in Animation and Computer Graphics Director of the St. Petersburg State Film and Television Institute. During his studies, in addition to creating author's cartoons, he took part in work on several large projects of the institute, including the animadoka "Lyceum Students" (2017). Author of comics (under the pseudonym BACR) "The Land Before The Land Before Time", "Cupheads", "Yotsuba and the Sect", "Void and Grasshoppers". Participant and finalist of the pitching of animation projects of Soyuzmultfilm and the Open Russian Animated Film Festival in Suzdal (2019) with the project of the animated mini-series The Hunt for the Snark. With the project of the animated series for adults, "The Little Kingdom of Lies and Vice", he was selected to the long list of the Riki lab contest-laboratory. Director, screenwriter, production designer, animator of the short cartoons Portrait of a Boring Man (2020), Hunting the Snark (2018), Into the Deep (2017).
