Tania Vincent

Tania Vincent is an award-winning director, screenwriter and animator, born in beautiful Wales UK and based in Brisbane, Australia. Most recently, Tania made her writing & directing feature debut with the animated film ‘The Sloth Lane’ for Universal Pictures, making her the first woman in Australia to write and direct an animated feature film.
In 2023, Tania co-directed the 4 x AACTA-award nominated animated feature ‘Scarygirl’, adapted from the critically acclaimed graphic novel. Starring the voice talents of Sam Neill, Anna Torv, Liv Hewson and many more. It went onto box office success with its release by MadMan Entertainment.
Tania won ‘Best Direction in Animation’ for Scarygirl at the 2023 Australian Director’s Guild Awards, alongside director Ricard Cussó, and she was personally nominated at the 2024 AACTA Awards for ‘Best Visual Effects or Animation’, along with Scarygirl receiving nominations for ‘Best Editing’, ‘Best Production Design’ and ‘Best Sound’.
In 2021, Tania was selected for Ron Howard’s Imagine Impact screenwriting initiative with her writing partner, Ryan Greaves, which led to their live-action family feature screenplay being sold to Netflix US. From there, she wrote & directed an 18-part, 2D animated mini-series, now on ABC Kids, that promotes emotional intelligence for preschoolers called Smiling Mind Creek.
With over 17 years of animation experience, Tania focuses on writing & directing stories that make audiences around the world feel more hopeful, inspired and less alone.
