Anita Hugi
Anita Hugi (born 1975 in Grenchen) is a Swiss author, producer, journalist, editor, filmmaker and festival director. She was editor in charge of the documentary film program Sternstunde Kunst of SRF from 2006 to 2016, program director of the Festival International du Film sur l'Art (FIFA) in Montreal (Canada) from 2016 to 2018 and director of the Solothurn Film Festival from August 2019 to August 2021 Since September 2023, she has been Head of the Film Department at the Geneva School of Art and Design (Haute école d'art et de design). Hugi spent her early childhood in the French-speaking Vauffelin in the Jura Mountains and completed her schooling in bilingualism Bienne. She studied Translation Studies at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Zürich and Strasbourg with a postgraduate diploma in Cultural Criticism and Journalism. As a journalist and editor she published the digital online magazine Neuland Magazin in 2009 together with the artist Lena Eriksson and the journalist Judith Stofer.
