Veit Helmer
Veit Helmer studied at the HFF Munich. His short film Surprise! (1995) was selected for the Cannes Film Festival. His first feature, Tuvalu (1999), starring Denis Lavant, was invited to 62 festivals. In 2008, his movie Absurdistan (2008) premiered in competition at Sundance. In 2014, his children's film Fiddlesticks (2014) was shown at more than 100 festivals and garnered 21 awards.
