Nakhane

Nakhane (born 1988) is a South African writer, musician, and actor. They have recorded three studio albums and have toured Europe, the US, and Australia. In 2015, their debut novel Piggy Boy’s Blues was published and has since been optioned for a film adaptation. On screen, they found critical acclaim with John Trengove's 2017 film The Wound, for which they won four acting awards. In 2024, they fulfilled a long-time dream of writing and directing a short film with B(l)ind The Sacrifice.
