Nidia Santiago
Nidia SANTIAGO, born in Mexico, founded the French company Ikki Films in June 2011 with the aim of producing films with strong international potential.
Her editorial line very early on turned to animation in a variety of techniques (2D, animated painting, stop-motion, etc.), but also at Ikki they keep a link with live action. Among her productions are the titles Chulyen, histoire de corbeau by Cerise Lopez and Agnès Patron (Emile Awards 2017); Lupus and Yugo by Carlos Gomez Salamanca; Negative Space by Ru Kuwahata and Max Porter (Prix FIPRESCI Annecy 2017, Academy Award© nominated), Sick Sick Sick by Alice Furtado (feature co-produced with Estudio Giz (BR) and Baldr (PB) selected for the Directors' Fortnight 2019); Granny 's sexual life by Emilie Pigeard and Urska Djukic (César for Best Animated Short 2023); and most recently, Percebes by Alexandra Ramires and Laura Gonçalves (Cristal at Annecy 2024). She is currently producing the feature film Little Amélie by Liane-Cho Han and Maïlys Vallade, based on Amélie Nothomb’s novel “The Character of rain”.
Nidia Santiago is a member of Unifrance and Procirep/Angoa, the Académie des César and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
