Savannah Romero

Savannah Romero is an Eastern Shoshone fiction writer, poet, screenwriter and film producer. Her creative work explores underrepresented working-class stories and the human condition featuring gritty Indigenous female leads. She has produced two NYU Grad films, The Beguiling (2024) which will be world premiering at TIFF, and Moon Beams (2024) and worked as a production consultant on Amazon's Outer Range season 1. She is an alumnus of the Tin House Writers Workshop, and her work has been featured in Abalone Mountain Press and Outside Magazine. She will complete her MFA in screenwriting at the Institute of American Indian Arts in 2025. Romero is the Co-Founder of BLIS Collective (Black Liberation Indigenous Sovereignty) a story telling and narrative change organization that seeks to uplift Black and Indigenous stories to repair and transform culture.
