Marie Opron

Marie Opron is a French animation director and animator. She graduated in 2008 from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris, where she specialised in traditional animation techniques and painterly experimentation, notably rostrum-camera work; she now works mainly in digital 2D animation while keeping a hand-crafted, painterly approach. She has directed animated music videos for musicians including François Poitou, Batlik and Jeremy Hababou, and has made animated sequences for theatre and documentary projects. From 2011 to 2019 she taught drawing and 2D and stop-motion animation at the Institut International de l'Image et du Son.
