Emmanuel-Alain Raynal

Emmanuel-Alain Raynal is a French animation producer, author and gallery owner. Born in Nice, he studied cinema at the Sorbonne and worked as a filmmaker and live-action producer before founding the animation production company Miyu Productions in 2009, which he has run with Pierre Baussaron since 2015; he also co-founded Miyu Distribution, Studio Miyu and the art gallery Galerie Miyu. His productions include the Palme d'Or-winning short 27 (2023) and the features Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman and Chicken for Linda! He was vice-president of the French Union of Independent Producers (SPI) from 2018 to 2023 and is a member of the César Academy and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
