Lisa Dodell

Lisa Dodell is a filmmaker based in Brooklyn, New York. She is currently an undergraduate student at Pratt Institute earning a BFA in Film & Video. Her focus is in narrative fiction, making work that is typically absurd, colorful, and bizarre. She views filmmaking as a means to convey emotions that can't be expressed with words alone. Her recent achievements include being a 2024 Princess Grace Award nominee, being selected for DOC NYC, and winning best film at BRIC Youth Media Festival for her dark comedy short, 'Tough Luck, Buttercup!'. Her work has screened at Trolley Barn Gallery, Bed-Stuy Arthouse, and Village East by Angelika among others.
