Emma Jackson

Emma is a director, writer and actor for both stage and screen with over 20 years of professional experience. Emma has built a career telling stories. As a performer, Emma’s career has spanned theatre, film and TV in Australia and internationally since she graduated from NIDA. Her short film, writing and directorial debut, Deb, became a finalist at CinefestOz2020 for the WIFT Best Female Filmmakers Award. In 2021, Emma won the Excellence in Directing Award at the WA Screen Academy for her work on the short film Fine Bone China, The Best Documentary Award and WA Made Festival Audience Choice Award for her doco Walk Run Strive, which she wrote and directed. Walk Run Strive also became a finalist in the 2022 Yugo BAFTA Awards for Best Documentary. Most recently, Emma was selected to do a director’s attachment, shadowing Rachel Ward on the Disney Plus series, Last Days Of The Space Age. This attachment led to Emma directing the Perth unit working with some of the industry’s top professionals.
