Farah Kassem

Born in Tripoli, Lebanon, Farah Kassem (she/her) graduated from ALBA University in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Audio Visual studies. Since 2008, Farah has been working as a director, editor and D.O.P on several documentaries. Her filmography includes short documentaries that have competed in Visions du Réel, Warsaw Film Festival, DOK Leipzig and many others. Her first short documentary, My Father looks like Abdel Nasser, received a special mention award at Dubai International Film Festival 2012. In 2016, she completed her Master’s degree in documentary filmmaking at DocNomads in Portugal, Hungary and Belgium.
