Ian Davies

Ian has worked as a Producer / Executive Producer / Consultant on a wide range of award-winning fiction and documentary films (Emmy's, BAFTAs, British Independent Film Awards, as well as prizes at many international film festivals including Sundance). Films include Starred Up and '71 starring Jack O' Connell, God Help the Girl starring Emily Browning and the Emmy winning The English Surgeon.

From 2003 to 2018 Ian worked as a consultant for several national film funds, as well as the EU's Media Fund, the largest film development fund in Europe. In 2014 he set up production and finance entity Boudica with Rebecca Long, which produced several films including Florence Pugh's breakthrough film The Falling and the BAFTA nominated Iona starring Ruth Negga.

In 2021 he directed his first documentary film Amber and Me which was sold internationally and was heralded by leading UK critic Mark Kermode.

In 2022 he joined Noah Media Group (best known for the Netflix film 14 Peaks) as a Producer / Executive Producer to oversee their documentary film slate. He was Co-Executive Producer on the Sky commissioned film Hatton, which was BAFTA nominated, and Producer on Checkpoint Zoo, which premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival.
