Marián Vredík

After graduating from the School of Applied Arts in Kremnica, Marián Vredík completed a master's degree at Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, majoring in painting and other media (Prof. K. Kosziba, 2014). He interned at FAMU for a semester, where his interest in animated film developed. After school, he works freelance, mainly making video clips, short animations, jingles and advertisements. Along with his wife Jana and scriptwriter Renáta Mitašová, they created an educational animation series for RTVS "Slovak language for a word" (45 episodes were created between 2018 and 2020). His animations can also be found in a number of documentaries, including COMMUNE (2020) by Jakub Julény. Marián's work ranges widely from cartoon animation to experimentation with frameless animation and found footage. He also works in illustration, graphic design & VJ-ing.
