
Olmo Figueredo
After graduating in Communication Studies from the University of Seville, Olmo Figueredo started his career education studding Business Management and Film Production at the University of Seville (Spain). Afterwards, he attended the European Master in Audio-visual Management of the Media Business School, besides other courses tied to the Media Program of the European Union.
He founded La Claqueta in 2002, producing audiovisuals and commercials for international brands like Heineken, Sony or Oriflame. The company started its content division in 2008. Since then La Claqueta has produced more than 100 hours of television content, animation series, documentaries and short films awarded in international festivals and sold to TV stations such as Arte, Canal +, ZDF, YLE, Al Jazeera, Euronews, History Channel or TVE.
His two last productions, the documentary film “30 years of darkness” and the animated short film “Alfred & Anna”, have been nominated to the Goya Awards of the Spanish Film Academy.
Last year he was nominated and promoted as one out of the four upcoming international TV producers by the Mip-TV organization under the program “New Producers To Watch”.
He has recently produced and directed a very personal the documentary short film called “My Name is Olmo”, with the collaboration of the director Bernardo Bertolucci.
He was consultant of the Spanish Ministry of Culture during 2010 and 2011. Currently, he is member of the Directors Board of the Andalusian Producers Association and member of the European Film Academy.
