Aki Mizutani

Aki is a film director and an editor from Japan. She began filmmaking during attending to a college, and later moved to the U.S and joined the post production Cutters Studios. There, she established her position as a leading Asian documentary film editor on the west coast after she edited the Academy Award nominated documentary film, “The Tsunami and the Cherry Blossom,” directed by Lucy Walker. After coming back to Japan, Aki has been working as a director and editor of documentaries and commercials. She is passionate about dive deep into the subject to discover untold stories and emotions, then make it in the form of film.
