Adriana Navarro Álvarez

Adriana Navarro Álvarez holds an International PhD Mention in Fine Arts, specialising in animation from the Universitat Politècnica de València. She currently works as a professor and interim researcher in the Degree of Digital Creation, Animation and Videogames at the University of A Coruña, as well as in the Master of Videogames of the University of Ferrol. She has worked as an Assistant Professor and Researcher in animation Bachelor at Volda University College (Norway). Her research interest focuses on producing animated short films and women in animation, participating in the association La Coordinadora del Cortometraje español, the Canadian database Great Women Animators and the digital magazine of French film criticism Format Court – Regards Pluriels sur un format singulier. In 2014 she was nominated for the Goya Awards for her final master's short film Vía Tango.
