Jessica Tang
Currently an art student and undergraduate, future animator. My passion for animation brought me to Cogswell University of Silicon Valley, where I am working on my Bachelor of Digital Arts and Animation (concentration in 3D Animation). In 2019, I completed the animation program at De Anza College, where I earned my associate's degree in film/TV: animation.
As a lifelong fan of Disney Animation, I knew from an early age that I wanted to become a cartoonist. I was in the US Navy when I saw Disney's Frozen, and there's nothing like that "light bulb" moment when I finally decided what I really wanted to do. After five years of military service, I was ready to separate and to pursue an animation career.
I have gained valuable and essential knowledge in Maya, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Sometime during my studies, I hope to complete a studio internship like Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network that will provide real-life experiences and important technological skills. And after I graduate, my dream is to join one of the most famous animation studios such as Pixar, Disney Animation, or DreamWorks.
