Cristina Ganusciac

I am a Romanian character designer, visual development artist and (occasional) 2D animator currently living in Paris.
I completed the MCAAF program at Gobelins in June 2024, where I co-directed the short film "Catfish". I was involved in the writing and art direction of this project, character design, layout posing, 2D animation and background painting (and a bit of fun compositing).
Most of all, I enjoy developing worlds and characters and making an idea come to life visually in the art direction stage. Exploring a character's expressiveness through shapes, features and details is big focus in my work process. On a bigger scale, I also like using colours and lighting as a tool in bringing out the essence of a story.
