Victor Wetzel
Victor Wetzel is a composer of electroacoustic music, a singer and a doctor in acoustics. After a double degree in science and musicology and a master's in musical acoustics, he completed a PhD at IRCAM on the acoustics of the human voice in 2021, then studied electroacoustic composition with Paul Ramage and Jonathan Prager at the Pôle supérieur Paris Boulogne-Billancourt (PSPBB). He teaches electroacoustic composition at the Vitry-sur-Seine conservatory and sound engineering and sound creation at the Issy-Vanves conservatory, sings with the Chœur de l'Orchestre de Paris and leads outreach projects in electroacoustic music with institutions such as La Muse en Circuit and the Orchestre de chambre de Paris. His works have been performed in France, the United States, Taiwan and Japan.
