Fest Anča is the only festival in Slovakia that qualifies for the Academy Awards®. It is a platform for celebrating and promoting animation as an art form. The festival features screenings, workshops, exhibitions, lectures, and other events related to animation.
The festival is now accepting submissions of short animated films and music videos for its 2024 edition. The works must be completed after January 1, 2022 and have English subtitles. The submission process is via FilmFreeway.com.
The submission period has three phases with different fees. The early bird submission is free until November 30, 2023. The regular submission costs EUR 5 per film from December 1 to December 31, 2023. The late submission costs EUR 10 per film from January 1 to January 31, 2024.
The festival will award cash prizes for the best works in the following categories:

- Best Student Animated Short (€1000)
- Best Animated Music Video (€1000)
- Best Animated Short for Children (€1000)
- Best Slovak Animated Short (€1500)
