Language of Cinema Explored at 22nd Berlinale Talents: ‘COMMON TONGUES’ Takes Center Stage
The 22nd edition of Berlinale Talents brings forth a thought-provoking theme, "COMMON TONGUES – Speaking Out in the Language of Cinema," exploring the diverse languages within the realm of film. Since the 1920s, film has embraced the spoken word alongside visual language, shaping new possibilities and interpretations. With a focus on understanding the intricate languages used in filmmaking, Berlinale Talents aims to foster a new comprehension of cinematic expression. The initiative, taking place from February 17 to 22, 2024, provides a vital platform for 200 selected creative professionals, offering networking opportunities and access to a global community of almost 10,000 Talents. The key visual, designed by Ada Favaron and Imad Gebrael, visually encapsulates the essence of "COMMON TONGUES," reflecting the initiative's dedication to exploring the richness of film languages.
