Berlinale Goes Kiez 2024 Highlights Local Cinemas Across Berlin

Berlin's renowned film festival, the Berlinale, once again pays homage to the city's rich arthouse cinema culture with its Berlinale Goes Kiez 2024 initiative. Scheduled from February 17 to 23, Berlinale Goes Kiez will bring the festival atmosphere to neighborhood cinemas across the city, starting with City Kino Wedding and concluding at Cosima Filmtheater. The seven cinemas participating in this year’s event are:

3. Kino Zukunft - Recently relocated, this cinema offers a diverse program including films, jazz nights, and a bar with self-brewed beer.

5. Babylon Kreuzberg - Part of the Yorck-Kino group, known for its original-version films and unique interior design.
6. Sinema Transtopia - Berlin’s youngest cinema, focusing on transnational and post-colonial perspectives.
7. Cosima Filmtheater - A classic cinema that reopened in 2023 after extensive renovations, showcasing film classics and arthouse fare.
