Molodist KIFF Unveils Competitive Film Lineup for the 52nd Edition

Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival has disclosed the participating films for its competitive programs including the International, Documentary, and Teen Screen sections. The festival, set to run from October 21 to 29, 2023, will feature a diverse array of global cinema at Zhovten and Krakiv Cinemas.

Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival has recently unveiled the extensive lineup of films for its upcoming 52nd edition. The festival's competitive programs are set to showcase a variety of films from different genres and regions, promising a diverse cinematic experience for global audiences. Running from October 21 to 29, 2023, the festival will host screenings primarily at Zhovten Cinema, with the opening and award ceremonies scheduled at Krakiv Cinema.

The festival's International Competition spans across different categories, featuring an array of thought-provoking films, including the likes of "Shayda" by Noora Niasari from Australia and "Paradise is Burning" by Mika Gustafson, a collaborative production from Sweden, Italy, Denmark, and Finland. Notably, the Documentary Competition highlights emerging talents and their debut works, with films such as "Pushing Boundaries" by Lesia Kordonets and "The Klezmer Project" by Leandro Koch and Paloma Schachmann taking center stage.

In addition, the Teen Screen program is dedicated to younger audiences, featuring an engaging lineup of films catering to children and teenagers. With films such as "She - Hero" by Mira Fornay and "Riddle of Fire" by Weston Razooli, the festival aims to provide a holistic cinematic experience for audiences of all age groups.

Under the expert curation of festival art director Andrii Khalpakhchi and the program department led by Ihor Shestopalov, the festival is all set to captivate the audience with an eclectic mix of films, promising an enriching cinematic journey for film enthusiasts worldwide.
