Catch Annecy 2024’s Best Animated Shorts on ARTE’s “Court-circuit”
The esteemed Annecy International Animation Film Festival is set to captivate audiences once again, and ARTE, the renowned European cultural channel, is playing a pivotal role in bringing the festival to a wider audience. ARTE has announced a special edition of its "Court-circuit" programme dedicated to showcasing the best of Annecy 2024, which runs from June 9th to 15th.
This year's "Court-circuit" will feature four remarkable short films competing in the Official competition:
- Mont Noir by Jean-Baptiste Peltier and Erika Haglund (France, Portugal – 2024 – 15 min)
- Butterfly by Florence Miailhe (France – 2024 – 15 min)
- La Voix des Sirènes by Gianluigi Toccafondo (France, Italy – 2024 – 20 min)
- Circle by Yumi Joung (South Korea – 2024 – 7 min)
In addition to these, ARTE will broadcast Short Cuts by Shih-Yen Huang, a one-minute animated retelling of Claude Miller’s crime thriller Deadly Circuit. This special will air on Monday, June 10th, at 8:55 pm.
Another highlight includes The Crossing by Florence Miailhe, which won a Jury Distinction for a feature film at Annecy in 2021. This acclaimed film will be broadcast on Friday, June 14th, at midnight.

The broadcasts are scheduled to start on Saturday, June 8th, at 11:50 pm and will be available on ARTE and arte.tv until August 6th, 2024. This extended viewing period ensures that fans of animation have ample opportunity to enjoy the featured works.
