Sundance Ignite x Adobe Fellowship Announces 2024 Cohort

The Sundance Institute has revealed the ten emerging filmmakers chosen for the 2024 Sundance Ignite x Adobe Fellowship. Now in its ninth year, this fellowship provides a yearlong support system for filmmakers aged 18 to 25, offering artist-centered support and professional development throughout their creative process.
The fellowship begins with the Ignite Lab, a weeklong residency at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts, from June 16 to June 21. This residency fosters community and connection among the fellows, who each receive a $3,000 artist grant and a one-year complimentary membership to Adobe Creative Cloud to refine their craft. Following the lab, fellows will participate in monthly webinars on creative and professional development, attend a curated program at the Sundance Film Festival, and engage in networking events with the Ignite community.
Selected from over 900 global applicants, the fellowship aims to identify and amplify underrepresented voices in filmmaking. "We are so appreciative to have partners like Adobe supporting the important work that the Ignite Fellowship makes possible," said Toby Brooks, Assistant Director, Sundance Ignite. "Early-career filmmakers face unique challenges and have significant things to say, and it’s so rewarding to collaborate on nurturing those voices."
Since its inception in 2015, the Sundance Ignite x Adobe Fellowship has supported more than 100 artists. Alumni have had projects screened at the Sundance Film Festival, with several winning awards. Notable past fellows include Sean Wang, Charlotte Regan, Lance Oppenheim, Terrance Daye, Aurora Brachman, and Olivia Peace. Alumni have also been recognized at SXSW, Tribeca Festival, and Cannes, and have received nominations for Academy Awards.
